“Dating And The Uncertainty Zone”
Here’s a bit of honest dating
advice from my years of experience as a
dating coach:
Do not be afraid of the uncertainty
zone. In fact, learn to embrace it.
The uncertainty zone is what I call
the brief period at the beginning of
a courtship when you are just starting
to like each other but still don’t know
if the other people feels the same way
yet. It is the time when you wake up
in the middle of the night and think about
each other.
Most men and women are DYING to
get out of this uncertainty zone. They want
to confirm that their crushes like them back
as soon as possible so that they can return
to a world of stability.
This is why lots of guys make silly
mistakes such as acting too eager or confessing
their love too early during this period -
because they want to “hear” that their
crushes like them back for sure.
But guess what? From my experience,
this period is when you REALLY should be
playing cool and not rushing things because
it’s when important first impressions are
being made.
If you manage to play cool while
keeping the attraction up during this period,
it’s going to have a lasting impact for
a long, long time. Years from now, the
two of you may still think back at the events
that happened during this period and smile.
On the other hand, if you act too
needy or desperate during this time, it’s
going to kill attraction and push your
crush away.
So next time you find yourself in
this uncertainty zone, remember my golden
rule: Take things slowly, because the faster
you get together, the faster you’ll break
up!
