“10 Speaking Tips For Improving Your Speech”
Here are 10 tips for improving your speech.
1) Talk slowly. Slow down your speech as much
as you can - especially when you’re nervous.
2) Talk in a deep voice.
3) Speak from your diaphragm. To feel your diaphragm,
lie on the floor and put your hands on your tummy.
Breathe in and out.
4) Avoid “filler words” that don’t mean anything.
(Examples: “Umm”, “eh”, and “right…”)
5) Fluctuate your pitch. Think of your words as
music,
6) Fluctuate your volume/dynamics as you speak.
Sound energetic during the exciting parts and
whisper when you get to the profound points.
7) Pause before important words.
8) Record yourself speak, listen back, and
practice.
9) Talk in a sensual voice. Imagine the vibration
of your voice caressing the soul behind her
eyes.
10) Relax while you’re talking!
